Pumpkins in April? No Thanksgiving or Halloween? It doesn't seem right, but that's the way it is for pumpkin farmers in Australia. This Australian Blue pumpkin is only grown to be eaten, and possibly because of this, it is one of the best tasting pumpkins anywhere! Underneath the blue-grey skin lies brilliant orange flesh. The seed first came to the United States in 1932, where it has remained in obscurity ever since!

The brilliant orange flesh is sugary and smooth. It's a good keeper too.
